xAI launches 10-second Grok Imagine video generation
xAI has released a new update, bringing major changes to Grok Imagine and now supporting 10-second video generation with audio improvements. That’s not it, users have noticed big improvements across the board, including much better video quality and clean, clear audio that integrates naturally with the visuals.
This upgrade builds on earlier versions, where audio and motion were already present but have now reached higher clarity and more realistic movements. The addition of better-synchronized sound makes the video clip more complete, as the tool generates both video and audio from the same prompt.
The rollout for 10-second video generation is currently limited to some users, but a full release is expected very soon.
Currently, the feature is partial, meaning video lengths can vary. Some users receive 6 seconds while others get the full 10. A timer option to control duration is not yet available, but it may also come in the near future. These details come directly from early users and Elon Musk, the company founder, highlighting the quick progress of video generation.
To use Grok Imagine for video generation, update the Grok app to the latest version or access it via the web.

In the interface, switch to text-to-video mode if available, or simply enter a detailed text prompt describing the desired scene. Grok will process the request and produce a short video clip, complete with built-in audio.
For best results, clear and specific prompts help achieve accurate videos. The feature is accessible to users on free and paid plans, though higher tiers may offer more usage. From its early beta stages to the current enhancements in length, quality, and sound, it provides a straightforward way for anyone to turn text descriptions into short videos.
Grok Imagine is a feature developed by xAI that allows users to create images and videos using text prompts. It is built into the Grok AI system and available on platforms like grok.com, x.com, and the Grok mobile apps.
Initially, it focused on generating high-quality images but evolved to include video generation. Starting with short clips from images and later adding direct text-to-video creation. As further updates arrive, including better controls, the tool is likely to becoome more stable and reliable option for AI video creation.
