OpenAI Sora 2 now offers 25-second video generation length

OpenAI has announced two new updates for the Sora 2 video generation model, bringing a 25-second length for users. Earlier this month, OpenAI released this new model with major improvements over the initial version.

Among new updates, Pro users can use storyboards by selecting ‘storyboard’ in the composer on sora.com. However, the spotlight goes to the longer video generation length, which has expanded to 25 seconds for Pro users.

It’s also confirmed that the 15-second generations will be available for anyone using the Sora app. Meanwhile, the company is working on a longer video format and tools to create different content types.

The dedicated Sora app is available on the App Store and is limited to U.S. users, which could soon expand to other countries. However, it currently requires an invite code to enter the user interface.
