This year’s iPhone 16 models will use color-infused rear glass similar to last year’s iPhone 15 series says a new speculation coming from a Chinese tipster.

Last year, Apple introduced a color-infused design scheme with standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models. The back glass delivers a textured matte finish using a dual-ion exchange process. The finish stands in line with the aluminum frame but appears frosted.

A Weibo tipster named “FixedFocusDigital” suggests that Apple will use this design scheme in this year’s iPhone 16 lineup. A previous report speculates that iPhone 16 standard models will come in seven colors including two new additions over the previous gen models.

Other than colors, the iPhone 16 will also bring a new change in the camera selection. Instead of a square camera design, the company could use a pill shape bump on the top left corner of the back panel placed vertically.

This new camera could be limited to the standard and Plus models, while the Pro series will continue that square camera. Moreover, Apple preparing for a hardware change with a new capture button on the right side of the frame. This button will help users to capture photographs and videos.
