iPhone 16 Series Dummy Models

Apple is preparing new features for the next generation of iPhones and dummy units of iPhone 16 reflecting Apple’s new approach in action.

Social media X user @SonnyDickson has shared images of the alleged iPhone 16 series dummy models. The visuals contain new information about the exterior of these unreleased devices and some interesting aspects.

Starting with the rear side, there are two dummy units with a vertical camera system and two with a square camera system.

Over the past few years, Apple has been using a square camera layout even in standard models. Previous reports suggest that the trend could change this year with the iPhone 16 standard model.

The two models with vertical lens arrangement could be iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. These include two cameras a main and an ultra-wide angle, while there could be an LED on the right side of the camera bump.

Pro Models:

iPhone 16 Pro Series will bring an identical camera layout to existing iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, the size of these two models could improve to 6.3 inches (from 6.1 inches) in the Pro model and 6.9 inches (from 6.7 inches) in the Pro Max model.

Buttons:

The dummy model shows us the button arrangement because this year’s iPhone would add another physical interaction. It has an action button and volume adjustment keys on the left. The right side of the device carries a power key and a new Capture Button.

If you look closely at the module you will find that the capture button is capacitive compared to the clickable power button. This is available on all four models shown in the images. The purpose of its introduction is related to the camera feature and photography gestures.

Previous report reveals that the iPhone 16 series will get a polished titanium material for improved aesthetics and better durability.

Apple usually releases iPhones in the second half of the year and this year may not be different but a specific date might not come soon.
