Apple has released iOS 18.2 Beta 3 for developers and beta testers. It comes with a couple of new changes for Apple Intelligence AI features.

The iPhone maker has been testing iOS 18.2 as the next major upgrade for Apple Intelligence users. Though this AI suit is limited to iPhone 16 series and 15 Pro models, it’s receiving incremental additions but numerous others are still pending according to Apple’s promise.

In that case, iOS 18.1 has appeared as an introductory software update for Apple Intelligence. In the following, iOS 18.2 has some interesting additions including generative images and ChatGPT.

But these aren’t the only features served under iOS 18.2 because other subtle improvements will be available with the final rollout. Among them, tinted icons will expand to the Settings menu and adopt the system theme.

ChatGPT is also part of the new iOS 18.2 version and customers can now redirect their queries to this chatbot via Siri voice assistant. You can also turn on a default redirection for all of the queries from Siri.

In a recent update, Apple announced ChatGPT as a plugin or add-on for the beta testers and introduced a limit for iOS 18.2. That being said, iPhone users need to upgrade to a premium version with a paid plan to access more usage.

This new build version has recently made a debut for public beta testers but the waitlist is still in place and needs approval as it doesn’t have the proper capacity to serve all iOS 18.2 generative image features simultaneously.

However, these requests are being cleared in batches and it may take some time to get approval for your request due to the same reason.

iOS 18.2 beta 3 is now available to download via Settings > General > Software update and follow the screen instructions to get this new software onboard.
