Rivian reveals pricing and specs for commercial electric van

Rivian has officially announced pricing for its commercial electric van in the US. The company is selling two models –  Delivery 500 and Delivery 700, which were previously exclusive to Amazon.

The Delivery 500 starts at $79,900 and the Delivery 700 starts at $83,900. Interesting customers can place an order via the official Rivian website, there’s an option to consult the fleet customer services.

This electric van is designed with LED headlights for higher visibility, the rear side has halo safety lighting. The bulkhead door automatically opens when parked to support the driver. The van has a curbside door that facilitates comfortable entry and exists for the driver.

It is packed with driver-focused features that can be accessed from the steering wheel. The seat is designed to provide wider on-road visibility and comfort with heating and ventilation.

The seat is manual with 6-way adjustment, and 2-way lumbar support with heating and cooling. The front deck is equipped with three standard driver airbags. The front side has a large center display and 2 wireless charging pads.

These two models are quite identical and don’t differ much except for the specifications.

The van brings advanced Driver+ hardware including 5 radars, 5 cameras (2 in the front, 2 on the side, 2 on the rooftop, 1 rear, and 1 interior,) and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

This hardware enables smart driving features including:

Delivery 500

This electric van can deliver up to 161 miles of range, 487 cubic feet of cargo space, 2,663 lb payload capacity, 9,500 lb GVWR, and a four-wheel drivetrain.

This model’s length is 248.5 inches, height is 114.7 inches, the ground clearance is 6.7 inches and the wheelbase is 157.5 inches.

Delivery 700

This larger version is designed for more cargo and extra storage with 160 miles of estimated range, and 652 cubic feet of cargo space. It has a 2,258 lb payload capacity, 9,500 lb GVWR, and a wheel drivetrain.

Its length is 278 inches, 114.8-inch height, 6.9-inch ground clearance, and 187-inch wheelbase.
