Tesla has officially announced the start of demo test drives for the new Model Y vehicle, allowing showroom visitors to experience this new electric vehicle (EV) in person.

The company is sending event notifications for new Model Y in Texas in other states. These events will showcase this new EV in Austin and Dallas, Texas.

However, these are the few locations exposed in the notification shared by X (formerly Twitter) users. Tesla may have been hosting these events in more locations around the US. Meanwhile, the website is yet to list the new Model Y demos.

Tesla has reinvented the Model Y with a new front and rear design. The face is now lifted with a new lightbar that connects the frunk and the bumper area. The headlights are shifted below the lightbar and air ducts have been optimized for better airflow through the wheels.

Speaking of which, the wheels and suspension are also tuned to provide better driving range. You will also see a new front-facing camera for broader visibility.

The rear equips a brand new reflective cross-car lamp, which looks different from the existing model.

The interior received major upgrades such as better seat materials, and integrated heating and ventilation. The cabin has customizable ambient lighting that can be tuned from the front display.

The passenger seats come with powered reclining and a dedicated 8-inch screen. The passengers can connect two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously for extended entertainment.

Tesla is selling the Launch Series limited edition Model Y in North America at $59,990. This version is packaged with paint select, wheels, FSD, and more. Other variants with lower prices will be available by the end of this year.

The company is preparing to deliver the first batch of this new EV in late February and expand its availability in March onwards.
