xAI Grok Imagine video generation feature goes free
Elon Musk, CEO of xAI, has officially announced that the Imagine video generation feature is now free for all Grok AI users in the US. Musk confirmed that the feature will only be free for a limited time.
Imagine is a new feature that allows users to generate short videos with the Grok AI model. The AI company has used some of the short video strategy from the discontinued Vine app and put it together in this new capability.
This feature is now part of the mobile apps on iOS and Android platforms. Initially, it was only available to SuperGrok and Premium+ subscribers for iPhone. However, due to rapid demand and increased development efforts, the company also brought it to Android users.
A few days ago, Musk revealed that Imagine usage has increased since its release. Earlier this week, Grok users generated 20 million images in a day, which may have increased to even more since the availability expansion.
For those who don’t live in the US and want to get free Grok Imagine access, Musk suggested using a VPN on their devices.

How to use imagine
Using Imagine is very simple; just head to the app, tap on Imagine at the top of the screen. See the prompt box at the bottom for text entry or speak to Grok to generate an image.
Then you can use the image of your preference to create a video in different modes, including normal, fun, spicy, and custom. The spicy mode is capable of generating NSFW content and could be previewed within the app. Furthermore, these outputs are supported by background music as well as four different results.
