New xAI Grok update optimizes app performance for iPhones
xAI has released an update for the Grok mobile app, bringing new optimizations for performance and improving the user experience. A few hours ago, version 1.1.57 was pushed to the App Store with the changelog “Optimize CPU usage”, which means that this update is targeting performance improvements for iOS users by reducing resource usage.
Grok iOS app offers all features, including exclusive companions. These are 3D visual representations of the AI model and could take a huge chunk of CPU resources, while reducing the battery life during extended usage.
On the other hand, the Imagine, AI image-to-video generator, also relies on massive real-time internet connections and visual data. Some of the older iPhone users may also see heat generation. Therefore, limiting the extensive performance use will help to prevent such issues while contributing to a better user experience.

Imagine
In addition to improving the Grok app performance, xAI is also pushing new changes and upgrades to the Imagine feature. The company has confirmed that this new app update has brought reconnection improvements for Imagine.
Sometimes, the Grok might not be able to send a request to the server and return with the completed video prompt due to different reasons, including the mobile internet speed and server request issues. However, the app automatically detects such a disconnection in requests and could already initiate a reconnection to complete the user’s content generation request. Changes to this segment will reduce error messages while generating an image or video and increase the success rate.
On the other hand, users will see a tiny but effective upgrade in the create video preset.
Fast development
xAI has been rapidly pushing new upgrades to its mobile apps, especially iOS. These updates are released sometimes two or three times a day, showing the pace of development from the Grok team.
