SpaceX Starship 5 Integrated Flight

SpaceX has scrubbed the first Starship Flight 10 launch schedule, and the next liftoff window will open tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. CT. Earlier today, the company called off the test due to an issue in ground systems to allow the launch and ground teams to locate and fix the issue.

X posts confirm that SpaceX has initiated the propellant load for the booster and the ship, and it appears that the issue has been detected as this phase progressed. Since this problem is related to the ground systems, it would be a lot more time-efficient than extensive.

Important to note that the launch vehicle has accounted for no issues and is standing healthy on the launch pad. Therefore, the integrated flight doesn’t need to be destacked for additional checks.

Starship Flight Test 10 tomorrow

Starship Flight 10 will fly from Starbase, Texas. The first stage is equipped with 33 Raptor engines to take off from the launch pad. The upcoming flight will continue to experiment with the involved stages.

The booster will seek efficiency in fuel management and conduct a flip maneuver in a controlled direction prior to a boostback burn after hot-staging. The saved fuel will allow the team to increase the ascent performance and send more payload mass to orbit with future vehicles. Not only hot-staging, but the landing engine configuration also includes the fuel efficiency and engine reliability tests.

The Starship will start six on-board Raptor engines to complete the ascent phase and enter orbit. There, it will attempt payload deployment sequence, relight one Raptor engine in space, and make a reentry to Earth’s atmosphere to endure scorching heat before making a final landing burn to hover over the Indian Ocean, followed by a splashdown.
