SpaceX Founder and CEO, Elon Musk, has revealed the liquid oxygen leak is a key reason behind the Starship Flight 10 launch scrub, which was initially planned to liftoff on Sunday.

“Ground side liquid oxygen leak needs to be fixed,” Musk wrote on social media site X, while also saying that the next launch attempt will on tomorrow.

The leak involved liquid oxygen escaping from ground-side infrastructure, such as the propellant loading systems, pipes, and valves that help to supply LOX to the Starship vehicle during fueling. Also, the issue was detected during the propellant loading for Starship and the Super Heavy booster.

Liquid oxygen is used for Starship’s propulsion system as the oxidizer in combination with liquid methane fuel. Lox must be kept at an extremely low temperature to remain liquid, which is a complex task and must be monitored.

Besides posting this update, Musk also shared a video of the Starship factory, showing nosecone and upper stage parts production inside the Starbase.
