xAI Founder announces new Grokipedia features
Elon Musk, Founder and CEO of xAI, has spotlighted some of the upcoming Grokipedia features that allow users to interact better with this new online encyclopedia platform. Musk mentioned that users will be able to ask Grok to add, edit, and delete articles.
Grokipedia is using the Grok AI model to generate articles in the initial version. By the time of this revelation, Musk confirmed that the AI had generated more than 1 million articles using xAI’s Supercomputer Colossus. The article count continues to rise as Grok has started training to increase Grokipedia’s online knowledge.
On a further note, Grokipedia will also gain the capability to correct the article’s information or share the reason why it’s not taking any action. The Grokipedia v0.1 has a simple user interface with a search bar and query suggestion. The detailed article page is generated by Grok AI, and a fact-check is also done in advance.
The platform is launched as a fully open source and available for access to anyone online. The early version has some bugs in the user experience, which could be addressed in a future version.
Since it’s an initial deployment, xAI developers will be bringing more UI improvements and features on board with upcoming versions.
The goal of Grok and https://t.co/op5s4ZikGJ is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
We will never be perfect, but we shall nonetheless strive towards that goal. https://t.co/j8bJf7c4Hl
