Leak reveals 15-second Grok Imagine video coming soon
xAI is preparing for a longer video duration, which will expand Grok Imagine video’s length up to 15 seconds with a new update, as revealed in the latest leak.
Leak coming from @blankspeaker shows that Grok Imagine will have a custom video duration option, including: 6s, 10s, 12s, and 15s. For now, the Grok AI model auto-selects the video length based on the prompt.
The videos are as short as 10 seconds, but the upcoming update will introduce a longer 15-second duration for all users. This could be done with a new Imagine model upgrade, supporting more precise instruction following and faster generations.

However, this update is long pending. Elon Musk, Founder and CEO of xAI, has promised longer Imagine videos since the Grok 4 release. In the meantime, the xAI team continues to push new updates with quality improvements.
Recently, Grok has received a custom aspect ratio feature, allowing users to change the resolution of a prompt. On the other hand, the new text-to-video allows you to generate videos without creating an image first.
Imagine
Grok Imagine is a text-to-video generation AI model. You can describe a scene, and the model will generate it in less than a minute. With new features, users can upscale the quality to HD, supporting voiceover in some scenarios.
The new 15-second video length is likely to first land on the Grok web, and xAI will expand its access to iOS and Android platforms.
